Continued Success

Since January 2011, Utah Science Technology and Research initiative (USTAR) efforts at USU have grown tremendously. USU USTAR faculty hires now number 13. Faculty members at USU work collaboratively with USTAR-supported faculty in the newly refocused structure. These USTAR affiliates, as they are called, conduct USTAR-supported research with the USTAR faculty core to capitalize on existing USU research areas of strength. USTAR affiliates at USU number 19.

There are 32 faculty members conducting USTAR-supported research at USU—the highest number of faculty conducting USTAR research since the initiative began in 2006. On January 5, 2012, Utah State University presented to the State of Utah its first USTAR commercial royalty return.
